5 minutes by car, in Marsanne :

• Les Aubergistes (+334 75 90 32 35) : warm and genuine restaurant, excellent value for money (21€ for a 3-course menu) restaurant with live music all Friday nights. It is key to book in advance in high seasons because it tends to be quickly full.
• La côte D 1000 (+334 75 90 37 58) : small and atypical place (15/25 seats depending on the season), quality food with again good value for money (25/30€ for a 3-course menu).

In the so-called « village des anglais », 20 minutes by car, in Pont-de-Barret :

• Les 3 becs (+334 75 54 75 78) : very spacious restaurant with nice atmosphere. In the summer, the terrasse is lovely.

   

• Trattoria (+334 75 00 03 91) : delicious pizzas with plenty of choices

In Valence, 40 minutes by car,

• Restaurant « Pic », high-end place, the chef is the only woman awarded 3 stars in Michelin guide. Don't forget to book well in advance!

In Dieulefit, in the main street, there is a lovely tearoom with home made cakes and chocolates variations.

In Marsanne, la bouquinerie, lovely place to shop all kind of books, historical newspaper and posters.

You can climb up to the ruins of the old village. Starting from the main square, take the street going up to the old church. The view is breathtaking. 

In la Laupie (15 minutes by car), walk around the village, don't forget to admire the church's roof, quite the curiosity.

In Poët-laval (30 minutes by car), wander in small alleys of the village.

Stop by the gallery, nice exhibit with craft goods from local artists.

In Dieulefit, check the potteries and the arts crafts in the main street. Don't miss out on the «demeure aux figures».

Two other villages deserve a detour: Cliousclat et Mirmande. Walk, climb and stop by the cafés and shops (pottery and crafts in Mirmande).
